BoardroomPR, one of Florida’s largest public relations and integrated marketing agencies, announced the promotion of Eric Kalis to Vice President.
Kalis takes on the new role with BoardroomPR after serving as Senior Account Executive and Account Director with the firm. With more than a decade of communications experience in South Florida, Kalis specializes in media relations. He works with clients in various industries, including real estate, law and banking.
With his deep ties to the real estate industry and involvement with prominent industry organizations such as Urban Land Institute, Kalis has been instrumental in generating new business for BoardroomPR. An experienced writer and editor, Kalis helps create content for the firm’s clients in multiple platforms.
“Eric brings tremendous value to BoardroomPR through his journalism background, knowledge of the key industries we service and unwavering commitment to our clients,” said Julie Talenfeld, CEO and founder of BoardroomPR. “We look forward to benefitting from his continued growth in this new role.”
“I am forever grateful to the leadership of BoardroomPR and my talented and dedicated colleagues,” Kalis said. “Public relations is the ultimate team sport, so I am fortunate to work with such incredible publicists. I am excited to help our firm continue to grow in the years ahead.”
Prior to joining the BoardroomPR team, Kalis was a reporter at Miami Today and the Daily Business Review and served as South Florida Bureau Chief at The Real Deal. Kalis was recognized as the Latin Builders Association‘s Print Media Personality of the Year in 2012.
Kalis graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. While attending the university, he spent nearly four years as the Sports Editor of the student-run Hurricane newspaper and a play-by-play sports broadcaster and studio host for the WVUM radio station.
