Goodman Media International, Inc. (GMI), a New York-based leading strategic communications firm, announced that Brooke Calabrese has rejoined the company as Senior Counsel to help build its midwestern presence and support clients across the country. Calabrese, who previously worked at the company from 2014-2017, will be based in Detroit, MI.
Calabrese is a proven media relations specialist and strategic communications professional focused on professional services, corporate and healthcare accounts. At GMI, she will work on a broad range of public relations activities, including corporate brand publicity campaigns, trade and editorial pitching, and thought leadership campaigns.
Most recently, Calabrese served as a communications consultant for an industrial technology and automation firm. Before joining GMI originally, Calabrese worked on BtoB and BtoC communications activities in the media and nonprofit space. At Time Inc., she supported corporate communications and women’s lifestyle brands, including Cooking Light, Real Simple, Coastal Living, Southern Living, This Old House and Health.
At the Small Planet Institute in Cambridge, MA, she was responsible for program communications and media outreach for speaking engagements, among other publicity campaigns. While at the Siena Literacy Center in Detroit, MI, Calabrese implemented local media outreach that resulted in significantly increased coverage and donor engagement.
