Bullfrog + Baum Appoints Arthur Bovino as Digital Director

Bullfrog + Baum, a New York City-based creative communications, marketing, digital and design one-stop shop, has expanded its capabilities with the appointment of a new senior team member. Arthur Bovino assumes the role of Digital Director, effective immediately.

“To fill this role, we sought someone with endless exuberance for the hospitality world that also had an intrinsic understanding of how to tell a story in the digital space using both tried and true, and emerging platforms and technologies,” said Jennifer Baum, president and founder of Bullfrog + Baum. “Arthur is a natural fit. His past experience as a food and travel writer combined with his deep understanding of what it takes to cut through the clutter in the digital realm will augment the quality work our team is already delivering, while setting the department up for new growth.”

Arthur brings with him extensive traditional and online journalism experience, professional culinary training and intense opinions about all things pizza and wings related. Arthur previously served as the executive editor and a founding editor for the food, drink, recipe, and travel site The Daily Meal where he was an integral part of growing the site’s presence and attracting new readers.

During his tenure he mastered the art of pinning chefs against critics with his own rating system, founded the annual list of the 101 best pizzas in America, and regularly wrote about and oversaw coverage of the country’s best restaurants and chefs. He has also served as the managing editor for the online indie food site Mouth.com. An International Culinary Center trained cook with real-world restaurant experience, Arthur cut his reporting chops at The New York Times, and has written for Bon Appétit, Travel + Leisure, Fodor’s, and First We Feast; has had his writing syndicated on MSN, Yahoo!, CNN, USA Today, AOL, HuffPo, and FOX; appeared on New York One, WGN-TV Chicago and TODAY; been consulted by The Wall Street Journal, Fox News, the AP, and CNBC for food expertise; and judged culinary competitions in New York, New Jersey, Arizona, Texas, and Florida.

Just prior to joining Bullfrog + Baum, Arthur completed his first two books: the upcoming restaurant and travel book, Buffalo Everything (June, 2018), a guide to the Nickel City’s best wings, weck, and other food icons, and its companion cookbook (February, 2019.)

In his new role, Arthur will oversee Bullfrog’s social media, influencer relations and content creation teams, leading strategy development and execution of digital-led campaigns for the agency and clients. He will also direct and manage the evolution of all agency-owned channels.
