London, UK – 8th October 2024Clarity proudly announces the launch of its Global Responsible Business Unit, soon after its BCorp certification. The new unit is designed to help businesses navigate the complexities of sustainability communications in the increasingly challenging global context. Bringing together leaders in Responsible Business from Australia, Europe, and North America, the Global Responsible Business Unit combines local expertise with global best practices, empowering companies to communicate their Responsible Business practices with confidence, authenticity, and integrity.

Clarity defines a Responsible Business as one that goes beyond merely avoiding harm and meeting ESG compliance, actively taking responsibility for its social and environmental impact to do more than minimise negative consequences but strive to create positive influences on people and the planet.
“As businesses keep working through the challenges of integrating ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices, our new Global Responsible Business Unit is here to help companies use communication not just to share information but to drive real change. It’s about making sure their strategy aligns with sustainability goals, building trust with stakeholders, and creating lasting, meaningful impact,” says Cat Biggart, Senior Vice President at Clarity London’s office.

“Talking about a company’s responsible business efforts has never been tougher, but it’s also never been more important. Stakeholders – like investors, employees, consumers, and customers – are demanding transparency about what companies are doing. But research shows there’s often a gap between what’s expected and what companies are actually sharing. Businesses need to work harder to close that gap, or they risk losing control of their story and falling behind in engaging with their stakeholders,” Biggart adds.

Joining Cat Biggart in leading the Global Responsible Business Unit are Julia Hoy, Associate Partner at Sefiani in Sydney, part of Clarity Global, and Jason Wakeford, Associate Partner, based in North America. The team consolidates decades of experience with leading brands in sustainability.
