Clarity, the global marketing communications agency, announces the appointment of Victoria Morrison as global Head of Marketing. The newly-created leadership role reflects Clarity’s immense growth of 60% in 2021, and its bold ambitions for 2022.

Victoria joins Clarity after 2.5 years as Global Marketing Director at Hotwire, where she oversaw the creation and delivery of the agency’s global marketing plan – including the launch of their new brand and positioning. Alongside a focus on building brand and awareness, Victoria aligned the global martech stack to refocus on data driven campaigns that drove new business leads in target sectors for the business. Prior to Hotwire, Victoria held a variety of roles at Cision, the leading global provider of software and services to public relations and marketing communications professionals, which crossed content, events and field marketing. She also created and delivered the highly successful Cision CommsCon.

Working alongside Victoria, Clarity has also hired Andy West, formerly Hotwire Chief Development Officer,as a Board Advisor in his continued advisory of global PR firms under his new company, West of Center. Victoria and Andy will be working with Clarity to strategically shape and align its business development and positioning and drive global brand awareness and lead generation, as the business navigates an exciting growth period.

These announcements come following a strong start to the year for Clarity, with the agency adding 23 new team members globally to support its expanding client portfolio. This includes key growth hires such as Sam Benson, Performance Director and Deputy MD of Clarity’s digital marketing services, following the extremely successful integration of 3 White Hats last year. Clarity has also hired Kate Jelonek, formerly of Weber Shandwick, as Senior HR Business Partner, to continue to strengthen the agency’s People & Culture team as part of its commitment to providing a best-in-class employee experience.

Alex MacLaverty, Clarity’s COO, said: The timing couldn’t be better for bringing Vics, Andy, and our new senior hires on to the team. We love their experience working with larger brands and leading growth for global marcomms agencies, however we’ve given them a clear remit to help us build something totally new and different, rather than looking to just what’s been successful in the past.

Clarity is growing massively and there lies a huge opportunity ahead of us, but we are very conscious that while we’re naturally excited to  ‘grow up,’ our stance against becoming just another big agency will not waiver.

2022 has already seen us put our money where our mouth is. We have made significant investments in the hires, acquisitions, skills and technologies we need to build an agency that is unique in its ability to balance size and opportunity while maintaining a radically progressive culture. These hires are just the beginning and we are super excited to see where they can take us.”

Victoria Morrison said: ‘’I’m thrilled to be joining Clarity at such an exciting point for the business. It’s clear to me that this is a team that not only has ambitions of growth, but ambitions for breaking the mould of what an agency can be – for clients, for employees and for partners alike. I’ve long admired Clarity’s belief in the power of technology to be a power for good, and look forward to bringing that vision further to life as we build a new kind of marketing communications agency that works with the most exciting people and clients on the planet.’’

Recent client wins for Clarity include being named AOR for LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the UK and Ireland, Momentive (formerly SurveyMonkey), and expanded work for long standing client, OwlLabs, from the UK to the Benelux region.
