Compare Ethics appoints The PHA Group as UK PR agency

by | Oct 12, 2020

The PHA Group announced its appointment by Compare Ethics, a sustainability platform connecting conscious consumers with verified sustainable products, to help grow awareness by managing its UK communications strategy.

One of London’s leading PR agencies, The PHA Group, has been tasked with building awareness of Compare Ethics, demonstrating how its technology verifies brands’ sustainability credentials and helps consumers to protest against unethical brands with their purchases. The agency will also grow the profiles of co-founders Abbie Morris and James Omisakin.

Both named in the Forbes 30 under 30 for 2020, Abbie Morris and James Omisakin started Compare Ethics after experiencing frustration with the lack of tools available for people to understand how ethical and sustainable brands are. The duo wanted to provide people with a platform that builds trust and transparency through data-driven sustainable product verification. For fashion retail, the company turns sustainability data into business value with its patent-pending technology, verifying brands’ credentials based on 10 different categories of information. Meanwhile, consumers are empowered to know the impact they are making by choosing responsible brands. The company now has almost 50 brand clients on board.

Compare Ethics is now focused on further developing its B2B product offering and growing its brand partner base, with The PHA Group supporting this journey by raising awareness of its growth and success so far to brands and consumers alike.

The PHA Group was appointed after the technology team impressed Compare Ethics with its sustainability and start-up credentials, as well as their profiling experience and high-level journalist contacts.

Abbie Morris, CEO and co-founder at Compare Ethics, said: “There has been conversations around sustainability in fashion for years, but not enough action, so now is the time for change. Compare Ethics is helping bring systemic change to conscious shopping and make it easy for consumers to make ethical choices, and we look forward to working with The PHA Group as they help us share that message and grow our brand partner base.”

Ben Cossor, Head of Technology at The PHA Group, commented: “Our technology team prides itself on its start-up experience, so working with a new one is always great, but especially so when there is such an important cause at the company’s heart. Compare Ethics has so much potential as a business and we are thrilled to be joining its growth journey and raising its profile.”
