Cooksey Communications, one of Texas’ leading fully integrated strategic communications firms, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with an open house event at its Irving headquarters attended by over 100 clients, alumni and agency friends. To commemorate the occasion, Irving Mayor Rick Stopfer presented a proclamation on behalf of the City declaring Wednesday, September 25, 2019, as “Cooksey Communications Day.”
“Looking back on the last 25 years, none of this would have been possible without the steadfast support of our wonderful clients, friends, community partners and outstanding team members,” said founder, chairman and CEO Gail Cooksey, who launched the firm in 1994. “We are truly grateful for each of them, and we look forward to many years of success to come.”
Today, Cooksey Communications is widely known for representing many of the Southwest region’s most prestigious companies, nonprofit organizations and municipalities, providing services ranging from traditional public relations and crisis communications to award-winning creative and digital marketing services. Cooksey has also earned national recognition, including being named a Blue Ribbon Small Business Award winner four times by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
“I am honored to have been a part of Cooksey Communications since 1998,” said Colby Walton, agency president. “We have reached this milestone in large part due to our talented team, who are incredibly smart, deeply dedicated to our clients and passionate about our mission. Building on this strong platform and Texas’ dynamic growth, we are excited to keep solving our clients’ toughest communications challenges with sophisticated marketing and media strategies.”
