CRC Announces Women’s Business Enterprise National Council Certification

by | Aug 19, 2021

CRC, Cindy Riccio Communications, Inc, a fast growing and leading independent PR & digital marketing agency based in NYC, recently became a certified member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The certification validates that a business is at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by a woman. This council is one of the most widely recognized certificates for women-owned businesses dedicated to helping women thrive in the workplace.

WBENC is a leading non-profit organization that was founded in 1997 to develop a nationwide standard for women-owned business certification. Since then, the organization has grown to become the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States and a leading advocate for women-owned businesses in corporate and government supply chains.

WBENC believes that diversity promotes innovation, opens doors, and creates partnerships that fuel the economy. Today, there are 13 million women-owned businesses in the U.S. Those businesses represent 42% of all businesses, yet there is still significant disparity in revenue and capital between these businesses and others. WBENC is helping to bridge that gap through access to exclusive opportunities, programs that accelerate growth, and campaigns to influence consumer buying behaviors.
