Current Marketing, part of Interpublic Group, announced a trio of new hires made to further strengthen the agency’s talent communities. Joining are Chuck Rachford as executive creative director, Janeen Davis as vice president, planning, and Jennifer Symmonds as vice president, human resources.
Chuck Rachford joins Current after a 24-year career at traditional advertising agencies to lead the firm’s growing creative community. Most recently he helped launch Cossette Chicago, serving as executive creative director for the highly regarded Canadian agency. Prior to that, Rachford was senior vice president, group creative director at DDB, where he led creative for brands including Bud Light, Capital One, JCPenny, McDonald’s and Starburst. During his tenure at DDB, he won 10 Cannes Lions, including two Grand Prix; received an Emmy nomination; earned the TBS Funniest Commercial of the Year honors; and ranked #1 in the USA Today Ad Meter Poll.
Janeen Davis steps into a critical role in the insights community, delivering on the agency’s strategic planning process by leveraging a deep understanding of research-driven data and real human behaviors. She joins Current with a PR, advertising and digital agency background, including tenures at Intouch Solutions, Edelman, DDB, FCB and Burrell Communications. With expertise in brand planning, research and moderation, and data analytics, Davis has worked across many categories, including CPG, beauty and retail.
Jennifer Symmonds joins as head of human resources for Current. Most recently at Tory Burch and Tiffany & Co., she brings expertise in employee relations, career coaching, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and benefits.
