Dan Ward Named President of Curley & Pynn Public Relations

by | Jan 30, 2018

More than 33 years after its founding by Orlando public relations veterans Joe Curley and Roger Pynn, Curley & Pynn Public Relations Management has a new president, a 22-year veteran of the firm who has agreed to acquire full ownership.

Dan Ward, APR, CPRC, who joined the award-winning agency in March 1995 and who for the last 10 years has served as vice president and minority shareholder, is taking the reins during a period of remarkable growth for the agency, whose client list reads as a Who’s Who of Florida business.

Co-founder Roger Pynn, APR, CPRC, will remain in a full-time role as senior counsel, providing strategic communications advice to corporate, nonprofit and public-sector clients.

“Roger Pynn has been a mentor and friend for more than two decades, and has worked tirelessly to ensure the transition of ownership will be seamless for our team and our clients,” said Ward.  “I’ve never had greater confidence in the team of professionals I’m lucky enough to work with every day, and I’m eager to engage with them as we plan the future of Curley & Pynn.”

Curley & Pynn has earned a reputation as The Strategic Firm, providing full communications program management for leading brands throughout Florida. The award-winning firm provides full-service communications and marketing program management, including message development and training, corporate communication strategy, digital marketing, social media outreach, crisis communications, media relations and B2B marketing strategy.

The firm is known as much for its alumni as for its clients and work product, with many of Central Florida’s public relations leaders having been part of the “C&P Family.”  The family environment – one in which employees are challenged, supported and celebrated – continues to attract top-tier professionals who serve as strategic counselors, not just tacticians.

“I’ve made no secret of my desire to see this firm continue to grow and prosper long after I eventually retire,” said Pynn, who added that he will remain with the firm for the foreseeable future. “Dan has been my business partner for more than a decade.  He has evolved into one of the brightest strategic minds in our business and I look forward to supporting him as a member of the team as he takes Curley & Pynn to the next level.”
