by | May 4, 2018

DeVries Global, an integrated communications specialty firm with offices across the U.S., Asia and Europe, announced today that Tracy Brosnan and Thom Hackett have joined the agency as Creative Directors to further fuel the agency’s creative firepower.

“Tracy and Thom are both great additions to our creative team. We are fortunate to benefit from their conceptual fortitude and leadership at a time where creativity in ideas and activation is the factor that separates successful communications firms from those left behind,” says Loretta Markevics, Global MD, Creative Intelligence, DeVries Global. “The creative team at DeVries has been carefully curated with omnichannel thinkers to give us all we need to compete at a high level as we continue to shape the vision for our Creative Intelligence team and the agency.”

Brosnan’s body of work spans creative roles within the beauty industry, specifically on hair, skin and personal care brands as well as non-beauty brands. Having spent most of her career at agencies including Grey, Publicis, Saatchi and The Martin Agency, she brings an elevated approach to ideation and visual storytelling to DeVries Global.

Hackett also comes to DeVries Global with an advertising background, having worked on several global beauty brands while at McCann Erickson Manchester, Saatchi and Grey. He brings a unique perspective to our work and sets a high bar for creative excellence for DeVries’ roster of consumer brands.

In their new roles at DeVries Global, Brosnan and Hackett will collaborate with Business Intelligence and account team leadership to help bring powerful, disruptive ideas to the agency’s roster of leading consumer brands. Brosnan and Hackett will report to Markevics.

The firm also announced the hire of Liza Abrams-Wisk as its Director of New Business Development. Liza is tasked with driving growth across the NA region, as well as overseeing the agency’s marketing efforts.

Abrams-Wisk comes to DeVries from The Bait Shoppe, an independent experiential firm, where she was instrumental in the growth of the company, specifically in the creation of its strategic communications practice. Her clients included Primark Stores LTD, Maker’s Mark, Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, Havaianas, Optimum and L’Oréal. Previously, Liza worked at Porter Novelli with clients including Gillette, Hewlett-Packard and British Airways.

“Liza is an exciting addition to our team and I am confident her dynamic background, creative smarts and winning attitude will help us continue the positive momentum we’ve been experiencing with new business,” said Jessica O’Callaghan, Regional Managing Director, NA.

“DeVries understands that every brand has a unique opportunity to shine, but it takes the right strategy, team and chemistry to truly ignite a brand’s capacity to be relevant and impactful,” said Abrams-Wisk. “I am thrilled to be joining an agency that thrives on innovation and creative curiosity. I can’t wait to bring more brands into the fold!”

Abrams-Wisk will collaborate closely with Heidi Hovland, CEO and various regional business leaders in New York. She will report directly to O’Callaghan.
