Duffy & Shanley, one of the largest independently-owned communications firms in New England, is expanding its footprint in the Northeast with the opening of a New York office.
Duffy & Shanley’s New York office – located in the heart of the Capitol Region in the Bull Moose Club at 150 State St. in Albany – deepens the Agency’s Public Affairs practice in the Empire State.
Leading the New York office will be Michael Mulraney, who joined Duffy & Shanley this summer in the Public Affairs Group. Mulraney’s primary focus will be leading D&S’s communications work for the Sunrise Wind offshore wind project, developed jointly by Ørsted and Eversource.
“Our Public Affairs Group continues to see tremendous growth, and we’re thrilled to open our first office outside our historic New England base,” said Jonathan Duffy, President of Duffy & Shanley. “It’s important that we broaden our footprint to New York as the Sunrise Wind project ramps up development. Mike will be a tremendous asset for us in advancing New York offshore wind energy and growing our presence in the state.”
“I am thrilled to be joining Duffy & Shanley and spearheading our expansion in the Albany and New York marketplace,” said Michael Mulraney. “This is an exciting time for offshore wind as our state looks to achieve its green energy goals in an effort to combat the growing climate change crisis.”
Mulraney joins Duffy & Shanley after nearly eight years in the New York State Assembly’s Constituent Services Communications office, serving as a press secretary for members of the Assembly and as that office’s first social media manager. He has deep experience in strategic communications, media relations, content creation and digital strategy. A New Jersey native, Mike earned a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Scranton.
