The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) recognized Eric Mower + Associates with multiple gold awards at the 61st annual Adrian Awards. HSMAI honored 2017’s outstanding work in hospitality, travel and tourism-related marketing. EMA made it a night to remember, bringing home three Gold awards in the special events, online feature placement and print feature placement categories.
EMA’s work for the inaugural Nirvana Culinary Festival at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa earned a gold award in the special events category. The agency’s campaign achieved the lofty goal of catapulting Sanctuary’s Nirvana into the ranks of leading culinary festivals. It also encouraged shoulder-season business and created new excitement around the resort. Over the course of four months, EMA generated more than 156 million impressions through media placements, and accomplished Nirvana’s most significant goal: selling out the event.
EMA also earned a Gold Adrian Award in the Print Feature Placement category for a Girls Getaway piece for Harbor View Hotel in Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. EMA secured a six-page feature highlighting the overall all experience a group can have while staying at Harbor View Hotel. It reinforced key points such as the hotel’s prime location, stylish Captain’s Cottages, two dining establishments, and wide array of upcoming events taking place in the area.
The agency received a third Gold Adrian Award in the Online Feature Placement category for a Forbes piece on behalf of a legendary golf resort. Securing a feature placement in Forbes enabled EMA to reach the targeted audience of golf and business travel consumers, and perfectly conveyed the resort’s history, new developments and its appeal to future generations. The placement looks beyond the resort’s golf amenities to highlight its spa, equestrian center, beach club, tennis facilities and festivals.
“The Adrian Awards represent excellence in our industry,” said Mary Gendron, senior vice president, managing director, Eric Mower + Associates. “Our team aims to create clarity around the brands we represent and help them navigate the rapidly changing travel landscape. We’re honored to be recognized and have our hard work highlighted by HSMAI.”
