WealthTech firm Farther announced the appointment of Ching Tao as Vice President and Head of People. Tao will steer the firm’s employee development and talent acquisition efforts. She is also committed to prioritizing Farther’s efforts to recruit more women and underrepresented professionals, ensuring a full spectrum of backgrounds and views is represented at the company and available to benefit clients.
Tao brings immense experience to Farther, including fourteen years as an executive director at Goldman Sachs. She has also served as chief financial officer at several startups and non-profit organizations.
“Global Talent Acquisition Day is the perfect time to announce our new Head of People: Ching Tao,” said Taylor Matthews, Co-Founder and CEO of Farther. “Ching’s people-empowerment abilities rival only her extensive industry knowledge and experience.”
Brad Genser, Farther Co-Founder and CTO, added, “Ching is the ideal leader to help Farther expand, following our successful Series A funding round last month. Her inclusive approach will both strengthen our company and benefit our clients.”
“I am excited to join Farther during this period of rapid growth,” said Tao. “Recruiting top, diverse talent and continually strengthening our team will translate into more innovation and success for Farther – and an even better client experience.”
As Farther continues to invest heavily in both human capital and technology, Tao will lead the company’s robust recruitment efforts. In the first half of 2022 alone, the firm doubled its headcount to more than 50 employees across the country – including wealth advisors, engineers, and product team members.
