BackBay Communications, a leading integrated financial-services public relations and content-marketing firm, announced that Will Hernandez has joined BackBay’s Fintech Group as a Media Strategist. He brings more than 17 years of reporting and editing experience, with the majority of his career spent covering the financial services and fintech industries.
As a Media Strategist, Will will work with BackBay’s fintech clients, providing strategic counsel and supporting their integrated media relations and content development initiatives.
Prior to joining BackBay Communications, Will served as one of American Banker’s top technology reporters, reporting on a variety of themes across commercial/business banking technology, technology innovation and implementation, and personal financial management. He also has experience writing for a number of payments publications, including Mobile Payments Today, PaymentsJournal, andPaymentsSource. Will earned his B.S. in Journalism from St. John’s University in New York, where he served as the undergraduate Editor-in-Chief of the university’s newspaper.
