Franco, Detroit’s longest-standing full-service public relations, marketing and social media firm, added Maddie Barnes as an assistant account executive, Jeff Sell as a senior account executive and James Wilson as a digital account executive.
As an assistant account executive, Barnes assists Franco’s B2B team on their automotive and technology accounts. Previously, Barnes supported and media relations efforts for B2C and nonprofit accounts at a Chicago-based PR firm. She also managed social media for the Wharton Center for Performing Arts in East Lansing, Mich. Barnes served as Orchesis Dance Company’s director of marketing throughout her senior year of college.
Sell works with Franco’s nonprofit clients and is responsible for media relations, content creation, and developing communications strategies in his senior account executive role. He joins the Franco team after spending the six years in television news: an executive news producer at WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, Mich., a news producer at WXYZ-TV Channel 7 in Detroit and a producer at 9&10 News in Cadillac, Mich.
Wilson joins the Franco team to support social media and digital marketing on the consumer team. He has a strategic mind creating content for marketing and communications. Prior to joining Franco, Wilson served as a social media specialist for the University of Michigan where he created content for U-M’s primary social media channels. He later joined U-M’s Center for Entrepreneurship as a marketing and communications specialist where he streamlined the center’s internal and external communication efforts.
