G&S Business Communications Names Dana Ferrell MD of the Raleigh Office; Kerry Henderson to Retire After 25 Years

by | Feb 13, 2020

G&S, a business communications agency that helps innovative companies change the world, announced the appointment of Dana Ferrell to Managing Director (MD) of the Raleigh office. Former Raleigh MD and agency principal Kerry Henderson will retire after a 25-year-career with the agency.

Ferrell now oversees the agency’s 83-person Raleigh office where she is responsible for its operations and growth. She has been with G&S for more than 20 years, successfully managing and growing critical areas of client business with a focus on strategy and innovation. Ferrell’s emphasis on collaboration and effective team management has been recognized by her peers and team members throughout her tenure and makes her a natural choice to lead the office.

“The G&S Raleigh office is one of the largest agency operations in the Southeast,” said Ferrell. “We serve a mix of regional, national and international clients who rely on our talented and diverse team of professionals to help move their businesses forward. I am excited to help facilitate their continued growth, as well as that of our own team, in my new role.”

Henderson joined G&S as a junior account executive in 1995 and worked her way up to being named a shareholder in 2007 and MD of the Raleigh office in 2009. Over her tenure at G&S, Henderson helped fuel the growth of the Raleigh office and expansion of the agency’s capabilities. Of particular note was her role in helping to launch and lead the agency’s Creative Department, which has grown to more than 20 professionals.

“Kerry helped us build a diverse and robust team in Raleigh and was a trusted counselor to many clients.  I am excited for her as she embarks on future endeavors,” said President and CEO Luke Lambert. “We are fortunate and thrilled to have such a strong leader in Dana who is able to step in and ensure a seamless transition at the MD role. I have been so impressed with her passion and excitement about this new opportunity and am confident that Dana will successfully build on the strong foundation in Raleigh.”

Ferrell assumed the Raleigh MD role on February 1. Henderson will stay until March 31 to ensure a smooth transition of the office.

“I have been privileged to work alongside so many talented individuals during my time at G&S,” said Henderson. “It’s truly remarkable to reflect on how the agency has transformed to the fully integrated business communications firm it is today. I’m proud to have played a role in that growth and success, and I can’t wait to see where G&S evolves in the new decade.”
