GCI Health, a leading healthcare communications agency, announced its expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.
The Asia-Pacific business will be headquartered in Singapore with local capability being built across the region. The focus will be on four primary service areas: life sciences, market access communications, strategic consulting and consumer wellness.
The expansion, which starts with the opening of a Singapore office, was driven by the agency’s growing international client base and increased work in the region. Rikki Jones transfers from her role as Managing Director of GCI Health’s European headquarters to Managing Director, Asia-Pacific. She will relocate from London to Singapore later this month.
“With Asian healthcare systems and markets rapidly evolving, the need for specialist agency expertise does too,” said Wendy Lund, CEO. “As a health dedicated agency with an established, deep and diverse presence in the Americas and Europe, the time is right to expand our local capability in Asia. Rikki is an exceptional and passionate leader with an incredible record of building teams renowned for client service excellence. I’m thrilled to have her heading our Asia-Pacific business.”
“The opportunity for GCI Health to play a meaningful role in the fast-evolving Asian healthcare markets via the combination of our global culture and local expertise is hugely exciting,” said Rikki. “The region has very specific communications needs and opportunities which we look forward to more fully servicing via our footprint expansion.”
Rikki has long been a part of GCI Health’s global management team, having been the founding leader of the agency’s European business. She will continue to report into Wendy Lund and brings previous local Asia-Pacific experience to her new remit. Kath Kerry will take on sole leadership responsibilities in the U.K. and continue to report into Lund.
GCI Health’s expansion follows a period of significant growth and major award wins in the U.S. and Europe.
