Ghostery Appoints Diffusion to Raise Brand and Product Awareness in North America

Ghostery, a browser extension that makes the web browsing experience faster, cleaner and safer by detecting and blocking thousands of third-party data-tracking technologies, has appointed Diffusion as its public relations agency of record in North America. Diffusion is tasked with increasing awareness and visibility of Ghostery’s offerings and its status as a privacy and products leader, starting with the successful launch of Ghostery 8 in December 2017.

Diffusion’s integrated communications campaign for Ghostery will creatively tap into the growing consumer awareness of data and online privacy issues, establishing and building Ghostery brand and product awareness among business, consumer and technology media and influencers. The campaign will underscore how complicated it is for consumers to protect their data online, positioning Ghostery as the best-in-class and most intuitive option today.

Since its launch in 2009, Ghostery has offered a comprehensive database of web trackers in the market allowing users to prevent all known tracking scripts from loading. With Ghostery 8’s new AI-powered anti-tracking technology, developed in tandem with parent company Cliqz, the browser extension can now detect trackers users may not even know about yet, in real-time.
