Glen Echo Group Adds Media Vet Amy Schatz as Director, Promotes Creative Lead Catherine Dillingham

by | Jan 9, 2018

Glen Echo Group announced that former media veteran Amy Schatz has joined the firm as a Director. Schatz, who brings over 15 years of industry experience as a reporter, blogger and editor, joins the Glen Echo Group from USTelecom, where she was the Vice President of Media Affairs, providing strategic communications advice on issues ranging from robocalls and cybersecurity to closing the digital divide.

Prior to USTelecom, Schatz served in key reporting and editing positions with Politico, Recode and the Wall Street Journal, where she covered telecommunications and technology policy for 10 years. She was also a political blogger during the 2006 election cycle and a campaign embed during the 2008 presidential election.

“What a way to start 2018,” said Maura Corbett, Founder and CEO of Glen Echo Group. “Adding a top-notch media pro like Amy Schatz to the Glen Echo Group team is a huge opportunity for us and for our clients, who will not only benefit from her deep understanding of the regulatory, business and political issues facing the technology industry, but also from her enviable knack for storytelling and communicating complicated issues clearly and simply.”

Glen Echo Group also announced that creative lead, Catherine Dillingham, has been promoted to Director, where she will continue to build and expand the firm’s creative offerings. Dillingham previously served as Senior Creative Content Manager at the Internet Association.

“We could not be more thrilled to recognize her incredible work and can’t wait to see her next wave of creative magic for Glen Echo Group and our clients and partners,” said Corbett.
