IPRN Unveils New Brand Identity and Website as North American Agencies Help Shape the Network’s Future

CHICAGO – The International Public Relations Network (IPRN) brought together approximately 40 CEOs and senior communications leaders representing 30 member agencies from more than 20 countries for its 2026 Annual General Meeting in Rome, Italy. Hosted over four days and organized by INC – Istituto Nazionale per la Comunicazione, IPRN’s member agency in Rome, the meeting provided a platform for agency leaders to discuss the future of communications, exchange best practices, explore international business opportunities and strengthen collaboration among independent agencies operating across five continents.

North American agencies played an active role throughout the conference, contributing to strategic discussions focused on the future of the organization and helping shape the direction of the global network. During the meeting, Michelle Mekky, Founder and CEO of Mekky Media, was reelected to serve another term as IPRN’s North American Regional Chair and Executive Board Member.

A key milestone of this year’s gathering was the unveiling of IPRN’s new visual identity and redesigned website, reflecting the network’s evolution over the past three decades and reinforcing its commitment to providing a modern, dynamic platform for its growing global community of agencies.

The rebrand marks an important step forward for the organization as it continues expanding into new markets, welcoming new member agencies and strengthening opportunities for international collaboration. Today, IPRN brings together approximately 50 independent public relations and communications agencies located in more than 100 major cities across over 30 countries, helping clients access local expertise and global communications support through a trusted network of agency partners.

Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most historic cities, the meeting focused on some of the most pressing issues shaping the communications industry. Discussions explored the growing role of artificial intelligence and its impact on truth, trust and responsibility in communications, while agency leaders also exchanged ideas on integrating AI into workflows, leveraging emerging technologies and preparing for the future of an increasingly AI-driven profession.

Talent development was another central theme, with participants discussing the challenges and opportunities of attracting, developing and retaining the next generation of communications professionals. Conversations also focused on building agency cultures that engage employees across generations while creating organizations positioned for long-term growth and success.

Throughout the conference, agencies shared successful case studies, industry insights and perspectives on the evolving role of public relations in a rapidly changing global environment. Nearly every participating agency presented work, showcasing innovative campaigns, measurable results and strategic communications programs from markets around the world. The meeting concluded with the annual IPRN Awards, recognizing excellence in communications and celebrating outstanding campaigns, agency achievements and member contributions across the network.

“One of the greatest strengths of IPRN is the opportunity to learn from agency leaders around the world who are navigating many of the same opportunities and challenges we face every day,” said Mekky. “The exchange of ideas, experiences and best practices helps all of us better serve our clients, while the relationships built through the network create meaningful opportunities for collaboration across borders. I always leave these meetings inspired, energized and reminded that we are part of a truly global community of communications professionals.”

The conference reinforced the value of international cooperation and knowledge sharing among independent agencies facing increasingly complex communications challenges. By collaborating across markets, member agencies are able to bring broader perspectives, deeper expertise and enhanced capabilities to clients operating in a global environment.

North American member agencies (Aurora Strategy, Channel V Media, High Results, JPA Health, Lopito, Ileana & Howie, (W)right On Communications and Mekky Media) also met during the conference to discuss regional priorities, opportunities for future growth and ways to further strengthen collaboration throughout the region.

Following the Rome meeting, IPRN members will continue collaborating through global webinars, professional development initiatives and knowledge-sharing programs, including presentations highlighting award-winning campaigns and best practices from across the network.

The global organization will next gather in Tokyo for its 2027 Annual General Meeting, continuing its mission of connecting leading independent communications agencies and fostering international collaboration around the world.
