There is never a dull moment in the ever-evolving PR landscape, but one tradition remains constant at Golin: honoring our founder’s legacy through meaningful community impact. This Friday, June 27, our global headquarters in Chicago will recognize its annual “Al’s Day” initiative— the company-wide celebration of founder Al Golin’s birthday that gives back to the communities in which we do business.

What makes Al’s Day special:

  • Recognized globally with local impact: While Al’s Day is celebrated across Golin’s 50+ global offices throughout the summer, each location chooses its own date and community partners, creating a truly localized approach to corporate social responsibility that is meaningful to its local workforce. Golin’s New York, LA and healthcare teams already participated in Al’s Day over the past week.
  • Hands-on leadership: Our teams aren’t just writing checks—they’re getting their hands dirty and working alongside the organizations on assignments that deliver against community goals, visions and values.
  • Founder’s legacy in action: Al Golin was committed to community service, and decades later the agency continues that tradition decades later to serve organizations in markets where Golin does business.

This Friday’s Chicago Headquarters Kick Off Activities:

  • Off The Street Club: Volunteers will spend the day at Camp Mathieu in Wheaton, IL, engaging with youth through outdoor activities, sports, and arts & crafts.
  • Chicago Grows Food: Teams will assemble garden kits for distribution to families across the city.
  • PAWS Chicago: Animal lovers will tour the medical center, help with facility maintenance, and socialize rescue animals.
