Emily Almich joined as Vice President of Media
Almich joined G&S in September to launch the agency’s first media department. She brings 22 years of media experience with a strong focus on agriculture, home and building products, retail and healthcare. At G&S, Almich and the media team will work in concert with account, digital, creative and project management teams to deliver fully integrated, omnichannel campaigns for clients. Almich comes to G&S from True Media in Minneapolis, where she was Client Strategy Director. Prior to that, she was VP and Group Media Director at Martin Williams. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Mass Communication & Advertising from the University of St. Thomas, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is based in Minneapolis.

Marjani Williams joined as Vice President, Client Service
Williams joined G&S in October to lead account teams across multiple industry sectors. She will also take on business consulting initiatives, support business development opportunities and join the agency’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force. For more than a decade, Williams has dedicated her career to public service. She spent several years in the public sector in the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois, building significant experience across all areas of communications, public affairs, and crisis counsel and touching on diverse sectors and subject matters.
“Joining G&S has allowed me to tap into the wide range of strategic communications and PR expertise I built throughout my career in the public sector,” said Williams. “It’s been a wonderful experience to start to build client relationships and delve deep into high-impact strategic programs as I settle into this new position.”
From overseeing strategic internal and external communications to leading media relations and critical programs and initiatives, Williams is a proven leader and skilled in the field of communications. She previously served as Deputy Director of the Illinois Office of Communications and Information at the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS). Prior to serving at CMS, she worked as Director of Public Information at the Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation (DSS) and served in the Chicago Department of Public Health. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Eastern Illinois University and graduated from DePaul University with a master’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising. Williams is based out of G&S’s Chicago office.

Mary Gordon promoted to Vice President, Client Service
Gordon has been a valued member of our agribusiness team since she arrived at G&S in 2002. Over the last 19 years, she has developed a deep understanding of the agriculture and agribusiness industry, built strong client relationships and led dozens of successful new product launches that helped our clients’ grow their business.
“I’ve grown and learned so much at G&S and look forward to continuing to develop in this new role,” said Gordon. “I am ready to take on more and will continue to lead my teams and provide my clients with the thoughtful strategic counsel, collaborative approach and expertise in integrated, omnichannel campaign development they have relied on and appreciated for all these years.”
Gordon has earned several accolades, including the National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) Professional Development Award for Public Relations. Additionally, campaigns she has led have won PRSA’s Silver Anvil award and PR Daily’s Digital Marketing & Social Media award and been recognized as a finalist for PRWeek’s B2B Campaign of the Year and The Holmes Report Gold SABRE award.
Gordon earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is based out of G&S’s Raleigh office.
