G&S Business Communications (G&S), an award-winning, integrated marketing communications agency that helps innovative companies change the world, announces three new vice presidents.

Emily Almich joined as Vice President of Media

Almich joined G&S in September to launch the agency’s first media department. She brings 22 years of media experience with a strong focus on agriculture, home and building products, retail and healthcare. At G&S, Almich and the media team will work in concert with account, digital, creative and project management teams to deliver fully integrated, omnichannel campaigns for clients. Almich comes to G&S from True Media in Minneapolis, where she was Client Strategy Director. Prior to that, she was VP and Group Media Director at Martin Williams. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism/Mass Communication & Advertising from the University of St. Thomas, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is based in Minneapolis.

“This is an exciting and fresh opportunity for me,” said Almich. “My work at G&S will allow me to flex my leadership skills in media strategy, planning and buying while building a new discipline for the agency. I am thrilled to join an agency team that is laser-focused on delivering seamless and integrated solutions for clients.”

“The timing is perfect for Emily to join our team,” said Luke Lambert, president and CEO of G&S. “She is just the kind of leader and team player we need to build out a full suite of media capabilities to meet a growing demand by clients and prospects.”

Marjani Williams joined as Vice President, Client Service

Williams joined G&S in October to lead account teams across multiple industry sectors. She will also take on business consulting initiatives, support business development opportunities and join the agency’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Task Force. For more than a decade, Williams has dedicated her career to public service. She spent several years in the public sector in the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois, building significant experience across all areas of communications, public affairs, and crisis counsel and touching on diverse sectors and subject matters.

“Joining G&S has allowed me to tap into the wide range of strategic communications and PR expertise I built throughout my career in the public sector,” said Williams. “It’s been a wonderful experience to start to build client relationships and delve deep into high-impact strategic programs as I settle into this new position.”

From overseeing strategic internal and external communications to leading media relations and critical programs and initiatives, Williams is a proven leader and skilled in the field of communications. She previously served as Deputy Director of the Illinois Office of Communications and Information at the Illinois Department of Central Management Services (CMS). Prior to serving at CMS, she worked as Director of Public Information at the Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation (DSS) and served in the Chicago Department of Public Health. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Public Relations from Eastern Illinois University and graduated from DePaul University with a master’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising. Williams is based out of G&S’s Chicago office.

“It’s been a joy to welcome Marjani to G&S,” said Anne Green, principal and managing director, business consulting at G&S. “She brings a unique perspective and set of experiences to our agency that are already creating tangible value for our clients. Marjani is also a caring and collaborative individual and a committed leader of people and teams. I enjoy our collaboration and look forward to all I know she will achieve in this role.”
