Hawkins International Public Relations continues to expand its East Coast operations with the appointment of Eilyn Segura as Senior Director of Corporate Communications. Drawing upon a decade of experience in video journalism, production and corporate communications, Eilyn is focused on continuing the growth of Hawkins International’s Corporate Communications division on a global scale.
Jennifer Hawkins, President of Hawkins International shared, “We’re thrilled to bring on Eilyn, whose extensive experience in corporate communications and journalism entices both our team and our clients. She has hit the ground running on some of our most ambitious clients and we’re excited to see how she grows the corporate communications division at Hawkins International.”
Eilyn settled right into the East Coast office, turning her attention to new and long-term hotel and real estate accounts leading both the Corporate Communications and Media Intelligence Teams.
She joined Hawkins International from Burson Cohn & Wolfe (BCW) as an Account Director in their Corporate Financial Practice, where she worked on a variety of consumer brands with a focus on corporate, executive branding and leadership positioning. Her anchor client was Ford Motor Company, one of WPP’s biggest accounts globally, where she helped execute thought leadership strategies with a focus on enterprise storytelling for broadcast communications in North America. Eilyn took a lot of pride bringing fresh ideas while also working within the boundaries of a very traditional, yet innovative company so embedded in the history of the U.S., achieving great results.
Previously, Eilyn worked at The Wall Street Journal as a Video Journalist and Booking Producer where she booked high-profile guests, shot and edited news content, and utilized social media to promote the WSJ brand across all platforms. Eilyn started her career as a Production Assistant at the TODAY show Weekend Edition, where she cut her teeth in production. The journalism and broadcast background in Eilyn’s experience will make her an incredible asset for the agency and tool for all the clients on the Hawkins International roster.
Eilyn studied Politics and Government at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. She is fluent in three languages- English, Spanish and French and has proficient knowledge in all communication, public relations and media platforms used throughout her vivid career.
Eilyn will be an integral part of the team as Hawkins International continues to expand its global, luxury portfolio by attracting new corporate clients. What began as a one-woman shop founded by Jennifer Hawkins in 2002 has grown to a 50-member team between the agency’s New York Headquarters and its West Coast office in Los Angeles, which is led by Managing Director Lucy Zepp and is well on its way to its second anniversary.
