Hill+Knowlton Appoints John Derryberry as Head of Technology in the U.S.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), international public relations agency, has appointed John Derryberry as Head of Technology in the US. Derryberry will lead the technology and telecoms practice across the US offices, providing strategic counsel to the teams and clients.

“Having worked across a range of technologies and with some of the biggest brands in the industry in my career, I’m looking forward to collaborating with H+K’s diverse roster of tech and telecoms clients,” said Derryberry. “I’m passionate about creating data-driven stories which promote and protect corporate reputations, and that’s what I intend to do in my role across the US.”

Derryberry has over 20 years’ worth of experience in the technology communications industry, including fintech, digital marketing, cloud computing, industrial IoT, AI, cyber security, enterprise software, and more. He was most recently the FinTech and Innovation Communications Leader at Western Union Digital where he provided counsel on transformation narrative and built consensus around more powerful storytelling. Derryberry was previously Executive Vice President of Edelman Silicon Valley where he created the pillar of their technology practice, led the Adobe account for over 12 years, and was at the forefront of pivotal product launches that evolved Adobe’s reputation and business.
