Hill+Knowlton Strategies (H+K), international public relations agency, has appointed Ricardo Cesar as president and CEO of H+K Latin America (LatAm), effective immediately. Cesar will continue to cultivate senior client relationships in the region, drive creativity for clients across the markets and help to set the vision for Latin America, supporting the agency’s Americas accelerated growth strategy.
Since 2018, Cesar has served as president and co-CEO for H+K LatAm alongside Eduardo Vieira, with whom he co-founded Agencia Ideal in 2007. The agency became the fifth largest PR and corporate communications agency in Brazil when it was acquired by H+K Brazil in 2015 and rebranded as Ideal H+K Strategies. Today it is among the top three PR agencies in Brazil, and always considered one of the most innovative in the Brazilian market. Vieira is stepping down from his role as co-CEO for H+K LatAm to pursue a new opportunity.
Richard Millar, H+K Global President and CEO for the Americas, commented, “Our Latin America operations have thrived under Ricardo and Eduardo’s co-leadership and I have no doubt that the region will continue to see success as Ricardo steps into sole ownership of the LatAm CEO role. His passion for creativity and delivering exceptional client work and his deep understanding of the market remains fundamental to driving our growth across the region. We sincerely wish Eduardo the very best in his future endeavours.”
Cesar is a founding partner and co-CEO of Grupo Ideal, a Brazilian holding company that manages several communication agencies in the country in association with WPP. He began his career at S2 PR Agency, going on to work as a journalist at IDG, Valor Econômico, Brazil’s largest daily business and finance newspaper, and EXAME, the most prestigious business magazine in the country.
