H+K MENA created a TVC for UNHCR which is being used to spearhead their global Ramadan campaign across multiple channels worldwide. UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities and stateless people. The creative concept, production management and art direction was handled by H+K.

H+K takes the SABRE Awards
As awards season is heating up, our client teams took home multiple awards at the 2019 EMEA SABRE Awards in London.
H+K MENA and (GOSH) International won in the Healthcare Providers category for the ‘Superhope’ campaign. H+K and McDonald’s won in the Word of Mouth category for ‘The smallest McDonald’s in the world’ campaign. PBN H+K Russia and Duracell won in the Public Education category for the ‘Duracell: Changing the Recycling Game’ campaign. H+K and Nikon Europe won in the Geographic -DACH category for the ‘5 Challenges. 5 Photographers.’
H+K also took home three Certificates of Excellence for work with Absolut Vodka, Adidas and Ford Europe. Finally, H+K was also named the Pan-EMEA Consultancy of the Year for a third year in a row in four years.
H+K is ‘Highly Commended’ at the 2019 PR Week Global Awards
Our client teams also took home two honors at the PR Week Global Awards.
H+K UK and Adidas received the ‘Highly Commended’ honor in the Global PR Breakthrough category for ‘Breaking the Internet with adidas and a GOAT’ campaign. H+K MENA and the Great Ormond Street Hospital received the ‘Highly Commended’ honor in the Best Campaign – Middle East/ Africa category for ‘The Super Six – GOSHxSuperhope’ campaign.

H+K US launches new podcast “Aoki ‘N Air” with All Nippon Airways & Steve Aoki
H+K launched ANA’s first U.S. marketing campaign in November 2016 with the world’s most traveled DJ, Steve Aoki, to help the airline grow its awareness and reputation in the U.S. Entering the third year of the campaign, H+K U.S. looked to Aoki to create a fresh podcast that explores Japanese culture and to dish on why Japan is Aoki’s favorite place in the world.
H+K at BrandZ’s 2019 Top 100 Most Valuable Chinese Brands launch event
H+K Global Chief Creative Strategy + Innovation Officer Simon Shaw joins top Chinese brands to discuss how to build their going global strategy at BrandZ’s 2019 Top 100 Most Valuable Chinese Brands launch event in Beijing. Simon talks about the move from ‘Made in China’ to ‘Created in China’, as companies like Huawei keep driving changes in the stereotype.
H+K’s China business lead Jill Peng also joined the event and discussed H+K’s ‘Going Global’ strategy for Chinese brands.
Global Chairman and CEO Jack Martin announced that he will be stepping down from his position at the beginning of July. Jack reflected on his decision and this chapter of his career in a special edition of Jack’s Perspective.
AnnaMaria DeSalva will rejoin H+K in June as the firm’s next Global Chairman and CEO. She was most recently the Chief Communications Officer at DuPont.
Lori Small joins H+K in Costa Mesa, California, as a Director, where she will oversee day-to-day operations across H+K’s Mazda team.
Ikram Zainy returns to H+K Singapore as a Director. He has more than 12 years of experience as an in-house and agency communications professional for a broad range of industries.
