by | Sep 11, 2020

Hotwire, the global tech communications consultancy, announced Marcy Massura has joined the company as EVP, Marketing Consulting Services, and has added enterprise technology leader, Brightspot, to its client portfolio.

Marcy will lead Hotwire’s marketing consultancy services and work closely with C-level executives as integrated strategy and marketing become increasingly more important to driving business outcomes.

“Clients are asking us to play more of a senior consultant role and really embed ourselves into their organizations,” said Heather Kernahan, Hotwire CEO, North America. “We are uniquely positioned for this challenge as tech communications experts focused on business outcomes. Our clients are increasingly leaning into our partnership in order to fill gaps in skills and expertise, and to move marketing and communications to business-level strategy.”

Adding Senior Expertise

With almost 20 years of experience, Marcy has always put digital at the center of all holistic marketing and communication strategies.

Marcy has worked for some of the world’s greatest brands including Oscar Mayer, PayPal and Torrid, providing a wide variety of solutions—from acting as the client’s CMO to specialty programs for influencer marketing, social channels, demand generation and more. This work has spanned across practice areas, including employer branding, consumer, B2B, corporate social responsibility and beyond.

At Hotwire, Marcy will take a leadership role in the growing area of strategic marketing services that includes marketing strategy, digital campaign development, influencer and social media services. Other recent additions in strategy and integrated services include Lauren Buckley, Senior Director of Brand Strategy & Planning, and Len Pollard, Director, who is focused on B2B integrated marketing planning.

“The need for marketing and communications leaders to deliver strategies that directly impact business goals has never been more important,” said Massura. “The value and expertise that Hotwire is providing with our consultancy services will continue to be invaluable to our client’s innovation goals and I am excited to be joining the company to further extend that impact.”

Delivering Immediate Impact

The impact of Hotwire’s increased focus on marketing consulting services is already paying off. As well as expanded programs for existing clients including Kiva and Intermedia, Hotwire is now also agency of record for enterprise technology leader, Brightspot, following a competitive pitch process.

With Brightspot’s new brand launch, Hotwire was tasked with developing its brand messaging. Now, with the new company branding live, Hotwire will continue to support Brightspot’s marketing strategy including demand generation, content and media relations. Marcy leads the Brightspot account at Hotwire, including serving as Brightspot’s advising CMO.

“Our partnership with Hotwire has been invaluable to the business as we relaunch ourselves to the market as Brightspot,” said David A. Gang, CEO and co-founder, Brightspot. “The ability to quickly scale up our marketing leadership with proven, experienced talent has been crucial during such a pivotal time. Having a strategic partner like Hotwire to advise and deliver across the entire marketing stack has been critical as we establish our new brand and communicate the value Brightspot brings to our current and future customers.”
