imre, an independently owned, integrated marketing agency, has acquired JMPR, a Los Angeles-based public relations agency specializing in the luxury, lifestyle and transportation industries.
The JMPR team will join imre, an agency with a 25-year history of delivering meaningful results for some of the world’s leading brands through full-service creative, social, digital marketing and public relations services
With this acquisition, imre adds JMPR’s full staff of public relations professionals to its West Coast operation, doubling the size of imre’s Los Angeles office. As imre scales its growth, it continues to see client interest in earned media, and the acquisition of JMPR will help imre further meet that demand.
“In today’s competitive environment between independent shops like ours, holding companies and consultancies, we recognize that size does matter. Our clients love us and their clients love them. This will help scale added resources as we continue to fortify ourselves as ‘An Agency That Works’, said David Imre, Founder and CEO of imre. “JMPR’s talented team of communicators has defined excellence in automotive and luxury lifestyle public relations, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to the team,” added Imre.
Beyond this addition to its Los Angeles location, imre maintains offices in Baltimore and New York City and has also formally established the imre Health brand alongside its long-standing consumer practice.
“Modern brands are looking for agencies that can scale and deliver a full suite of services,” said Joseph Molina, Founder & CEO of JMPR. “The services, resources and talent at imre compliments what we offer at JMPR. For us, the decision to join imre was clear and we immediately realized the potential,” added Molina.
For 40 years, JMPR has been heavily involved in the automotive, lifestyle and aftermarket industries. JMPR currently works with clients across transportation, travel and consumer products including INFINITI, Airstream, Bugatti, the Los Angeles Auto Show, Prestone and Meguiar’s. This adds to imre’s roster of clients including PepsiCo, Dickies, AstraZeneca, T. Rowe Price, Under Armour, STIHL, Zoetis; among many more.
imre, a certified LGBTQ-owned company, is on pace to earn over $20M in global fee revenue in 2018 and with this acquisition has 124 employees across the combined company.
