Innovative Brand and Entertainment Communications Agency, The Right Now, Expands Entertainment Team

Innovative entertainment and brand communications agency The Right Now announced the expansion of its entertainment division with former Amazon Studios and BWR Public Relations executive George Cabico tapped as Head of Filmed Content Communications. Additionally, Sunshine Sachs and Audible Treats alum Andrea Higgins has joined as Manager, Entertainment & Talent Relations.

Based in Los Angeles, Cabico, who joined the agency earlier this year, spearheads strategic communications and consumer publicity for the entertainment division’s television, film, streaming, audio, and production company client roster. Cabico will report to Eric Green, Co-Founder & Head of Entertainment.

Cabico most recently served as Senior Vice President, Entertainment at communications firm The Lippin Group, working across the company’s television and corporate entertainment clients including Lionsgate Television, FOX Entertainment’s Tubi, NBCUniversal International, E! International, EPIX, and Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury. Previously, Cabico led consumer publicity and trade communications at Amazon Studios, helping ramp up the Originals publicity team. There, he spearheaded a number of press campaigns for award-winning Prime Video original series, including Sneaky Pete, Goliath, The Man in the High Castle, Catastrophe, Bosch, Patriot, Good Girls Revolt, The Last Tycoon, and Hand of God. He was also an active part of the team that launched Emmy and Golden Globe winning series Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle. Prior to Amazon, Cabico held roles as Director, Communications at ViacomCBS’ Nickelodeon and Nick at Nite, and at BWR Public Relations managing television and corporate entertainment clients, including American Idol, The Real World, and Bunim-Murray Productions.

Higgins, based in New York, will report to Cabico and also support the agency’s strategic partnership with Sam Srinivasan’s Sechel Public Relations, rounding out The Right Now’s talent and entertainment offerings.  She comes to The Right Now from Audible Treats where she led music and multicultural campaigns for Netflix, TikTok, Alamo Records and EMPIRE Records. Previously, she spent several years at Sunshine Sachs supporting a variety of talent and corporate entertainment clients including Janet Jackson, Jason Derulo, The Weather Channel, Tribeca TV Festival, HOT 97’s Summer Jam, Milk Studios, Girl Scouts USA, #BlogHer, New York City Ballet, and Trevor Live, among many others.

The Right Now’s clients includes Amazon, FOX Entertainment’s Tubi, Redbox Entertainment, NBA, UGG, Billabong, content production company Project Brazen, streaming aggregator Struum, Thunder Studios, White Label Productions, Kendra Scott, Erewhon Markets, The Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles, Walgreens, and L’Couture Collections, among others. The Right Now’s strategic partnership with Sechel extends its collective entertainment and talent client roster that includes Phoebe Robinson, Yvonne Orji, Natasha Rothwell, Ronny Chieng, Jimmy O. Yang, Natalie Morales, Paul Scheer, Comedy Central’s upcoming topical comedy series Fairview, and content production companies Culture House and Push It Productions, among many others.
