J Public Relations Retained by Chicago’s Claridge House

by | Apr 25, 2019

J Public Relations announced it is now representing Claridge House, a 165-room boutique hotel located in the heart of Chicago’s Gold Coast.

In a true neighborhood that feels worlds away from a typical big city hotel experience, Claridge House combines sophisticated décor and a serene residential ambience to create a true urban haven. Most recently, the hotel underwent an extensive $9 million renovation last year that included a comprehensive redesign and refresh of all 165 guestrooms, lobby, meeting space, and fitness center, transforming the property into a welcoming, modern, urban oasis while still preserving the classical architecture of the original 1923 building.

Designed in 1923 by a native Chicago architect, Claridge House has long been a part of Chicago and Gold Coast history. The building’s first use was as a residential hotel, as many new Chicago residents would move to the city and live in a hotel as a permanent residence. Throughout its nearly 90-year history, the entire property houses original artwork, sculptures, and images of real travel adventures and trips, embodying an inviting, warm ambiance.
