J Public Relations is now representing The Armstrong Hotel, an iconic landmark in Fort Collins, Colorado that will be undergoing a complete interior redesign and renewal to debut in early spring 2019.
The 1923 historic hotel is one of three hotels that originally graced downtown Fort Collins, and is the only one from that era still operating today. Located in the heart of Old Town, The Armstrong Hotel is a close walk to the nearby Colorado State University, and is known as the community’s neighborhood hotel to connect and recharge, communicating a strong sense of place that reflects the local culture and educates locals and visitors about its storied history as a Fort Collins centerpiece.
On January 1, 2019, The Armstrong Hotel temporarily closed to undergo a full property restoration, expanding the lobby space and doing a complete interior refresh that will combine the traditional Art Deco architectural details of the original historic building with updated, refreshed decor to create a layered, residential and warm aesthetic. Inspired by the destination and designed for guests that are seeking an authentic, local experience, The Armstrong Hotel will feature an eclectic mix of earthy, natural and jewel tones juxtaposed with industrial elements such as vintage leather, wood, and metals throughout. Additional updates will also take place at Ace Gillett’s Lounge, a local favorite located at The Armstrong, that will re-open with new menus dreamt up in partnership with Death & Co, the wildly popular and award-winning craft cocktail bar renowned for its attention to detail and craft approach.
