J. Walcher Communications Announces Two Promotions and New Hire

J. Walcher Communications (JWC), a top San Diego public relations and marketing agency, has promoted Ashley Bendas to account supervisor, Olivia Stafford to senior account executive and hired McKenna Ryan as account coordinator.

“Ashley and Olivia have proven themselves as excellent managers of client campaigns and continue to demonstrate great results for our clients. They both express and maintain a wealth of experience across multiple industries,” said JWC President Jean Walcher. “And McKenna has already demonstrated a willingness to jump in on a wide range of clients and projects.”

Ashley Bendas, as an account supervisor, will continue to manage a number of real estate, hospitality, nonprofit and professional service client accounts with campaign management, media relations, social media management and more. The promotion to account supervisor is a result of Bendas’ strong relationship with JWC’s wide variety of clients and outreach results that communicate brand messages at the local, regional and national levels.

Bendas first joined the agency in 2013 as an intern and returned in 2015 as an account coordinator. She graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations.

Olivia Stafford

Olivia Stafford

Olivia Stafford brings JWC’s clients a fresh perspective, innovative ideas and story-focused thinking in her daily work. She continues to develop successful media relations campaigns and strategic thinking to produce meaningful results for JWC’s clients.

 Prior to joining JWC, Stafford worked at Focuscom Inc., a San Diego public relations and public affairs firm. She graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in Spanish and minors in writing and public relations.

McKenna Ryan

McKenna Ryan

McKenna Ryan joins JWC as an account coordinator and will assist on hospitality, nonprofit, retail and professional service clients, providing media relations, social media, event coordination, project management, along with digital and marketing strategies.

Ryan has a background in marketing and public relations from her previous role as a B2B intern at Havas Formula, a public relations agency in San Diego.

She graduated from California State University, Chico with a bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and minor in marketing.
