Kathryn H. Tunheim, Principal and CEO of Tunheim, is one of five CEO’s inducted into the Twin Cities Business Magazine 2020 Minnesota Business Hall of Fame.
Kathryn Tunheim joins an elite list of Hall of Fame members inducted over the past 21 years and representing some of the brightest business minds in Minnesota.
Thirty years ago, Kathryn Tunheim co-founded the firm Tunheim Santrizos Co. with four colleagues from Honeywell, Inc., and has served as chief executive officer throughout the firm’s evolution. She maintains an active role in many of the agency’s client relationships and, is a well-known crisis communications counselor to senior executives. She is a past global president of IPREX, one of the world’s largest networks of independent communications firms, which Tunheim joined in 2007.
In 2011, she accepted a part-time appointment as senior advisor to Minnesota’s Governor, serving two years focused on igniting job creation across the State. Over the years, Kathy has served on numerous boards. Currently, she serves on the board of directors for Landscape Structures, Inc., the world’s largest supplier of commercial playground equipment; Hennepin Healthcare (HCMC); The McKnight Foundation; The Saint Paul & Minnesota Community Foundations and the Bloomington Convention and Visitors Bureau.
The other 2020 Minnesota Business Hall of Fame inductees include:

All five are being recognized for accomplishments in their respective industries – from energy and property development to communications, marketing, and entrepreneurship – as well as their contributions to our business community. This year’s honorees are featured in the July issue of Twin Cities Business Magazine and recognized at an awards event.
