As Partner and Head of U.S. Operations for Maltin PR, Hughes will oversee U.S.-based client service, business development, and strategic positioning, working closely with the London HQ to build the firm’s presence in the U.S. legal and corporate communications markets.

With more than 13 years of experience across public affairs, litigation communications, and corporate reputation, Hughes brings a unique breadth of communications expertise and a proven track record of delivering results in high-profile, high-stakes matters. He has advised clients ranging from global corporations to public figures, as well as fast-growing startups in emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.

Specifically within the litigation communications space, Hughes has contributed to several complex legal and reputational matters. This has included litigation communication support to the 9/11 Families in their pursuit of justice against international state sponsors of terrorism in the aftermath of the September 11 attacks. He later served as the lead communications advisor during the landmark Kleiman v. Wright trial — a case that centered on the disputed identity of Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, and ownership of the “Satoshi” Bitcoin wallet, valued at $66 billion. His strategic guidance was pivotal in navigating the complex media landscape surrounding this precedent-setting cryptocurrency case.

Tim Maltin, Founder and Chief Executive of Maltin PR, said:

“Ryan’s experience in litigation communications, corporate reputation, and public affairs makes him a natural fit to lead our U.S. operations. His appointment marks an important milestone in our firm’s growth as we expand our international capabilities and deliver high-level strategic counsel across borders.”

Maltin PR’s growing U.S. footprint includes operations in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., with the firm ranked among the leading global providers of litigation support and legal PR services by Chambers and Partners and others.
