McGrath/Power Partners Appointed to New Positions Within The Worldcom Public Relations Group

by | Jul 20, 2018

McGrath/Power Public Relations and Communications, an independent integrated communications agency, announced that its Co-founder and CEO, Jonathan Bloom, was elected as the Global Marketing Chair of The Worldcom Public Relations Group. Concurrently, Kathryn Walker, partner and SVP of Client Services at the Agency, was elected incoming Chair of the Americas Region, which Bloom has previously served.

“My Partner, Kate, and I are honored to be recognized by our peers and passed the torch within these Boards,” said Bloom. “It’s a very rare occasion when two members of the same firm are elected to serve on Boards for Worldcom, which we have been a part of for nearly as long as we’ve been established on the West Coast. These recent appointments speak to the Agency’s long-time contributions to the Organization, and we’re excited to continue contributing to Worldcom’s success in our new roles.”

McGrath/Power was selected as the sole representative from Silicon Valley to join The Worldcom Public Relations Group in 1989, and Bloom has played an active role in shaping the groups’ policies since 1993. Currently, Bloom serves as the Americas Region Marketing Chair and Walker serves as the Americas Region Meeting Chair.

Worldcom Public Relations Group utilizes a trusted global partnership of independent firms to help clients create the perfect solution to any PR challenge or opportunity, regardless of geography, industry or discipline required. Worldcom’s independently owned public relations firms boast 110 offices in 95 cities on six continents.
