Mirza Partners with Clarity to Help US Employees with Financial and Family Planning

by | Oct 7, 2021

Mirza, provider of the family financial planning tool built to support working parents and employers, announced its first pilot program with global communications agency Clarity. The pilot will roll out to Clarity US employees this month.

The partnership marks Mirza’s first step in piloting its innovative technology platform for a marketing and communications agency. Mirza emphasizes that promoting gender equality in the workplace is a win for employees and employers, as that support adds to employee happiness and satisfaction at work. 63% of employees report increased financial stress since the pandemic began, and money is employees’ biggest reported source of stress. Providing financial tools for employees can improve employee retention, productivity, and loyalty – helping employers keep top talent. The insights provided from the Mirza platform can then help employers provide benefit enhancements based on employee needs.

Siran Cao, Co-Founder and CEO of Mirza comments: “Clarity is already a very progressive agency, and we’re delighted to partner with them to help further their aim of being the best agency to work for. Through the pilot program, we will help their US teams navigate the financial and lifestyle decisions many working professionals face when considering having children. This is the first step of bringing Mirza’s technology to the public relations, marketing, and communications agencies who value gender equity in the workplace.”

As part of the pilot, Clarity’s US employees will have full access to Mirza’s suite of features, including a personalized, informative financial plan specifically for families, and unlimited educational resources for working parents. This will effectively enable them to build their own customized financial and childcare plans, and see how it fits into their career goals as a communications professional.

Employers  who sign up with Mirza  will have access to anonymized data from its employees to allow companies to make more informed decisions about its employee benefits and help reduce gender bias. With this unique pilot program, Clarity and Mirza will educate employees on how to leverage their total compensation package, maximizing employee contributions to key benefits such as the 401k, FSA/HSA, and medical and family leave benefits.

“Clarity is a people-first agency and we are deeply committed to providing business-backed offerings to our employees at every point of their life. From summer internship to retirement, we aim to be the agency that meets our team’s needs wherever they are in their life’s journey.  A key part of this is not only providing best in class employee benefits, but looking for innovative and new ways to support our staff in their work and personal lives ” said Jody Johnson, Global Head of People & Culture at Clarity. “It’s a privilege to take part in the first trial of Mirza in the US as gender pay equity and paid parental leave finally receive their moment in the professional world. We look forward to working with Mirza to support our benefit programs and our working parents and our staff who are planning for children in the future.”

About Mirza

Founded by Siran Cao and Mel Faxon, Mirza was created to empower working parents, by ensuring no parent has to choose between family and career, especially when it comes to funding childcare expenses. Mirza helps employers and individuals navigate the financial and lifestyle decisions many working professionals face when considering having children.

Mirza is on a mission to close the gender pay gap, which is heavily influenced by parenthood. Mirza helps parents understand and budget for the costs that often prevent women from returning to the workforce and participating fully postpartum. The company believes that it’s not just up to individual women: they empower everyone to navigate parental leave policies and work with their employers.

Knowing that progress is incremental, Mirza is tackling financial and professional empowerment on an individual and employer level first, and building the financial infrastructure that families need to thrive.
