Mobile Posse, a platform for creating frictionless content experiences on smartphones, announced the appointment of Brian Dengler as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, in addition to Kevin Grant as Senior Vice President, Sales and Distribution.

“Brian and Kevin have extensive expertise in their respective fields and across well-regarded companies,” said Jon Jackson, Founder and CEO, Mobile Posse. “We are excited to have both of them on board, as we look to take the next steps in providing a ‘smarter’ smartphone experience.”

Dengler has provided legal solutions for digital, wireless and internet businesses for over 25 years. He served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel for CompuServe Interactive Services and AOL (now Oath Inc.) from 1997 to 2003. He helped draft and obtain passage of electronic signature laws and anti-spam laws in Maryland, Ohio and Virginia. Most recently, he was an information technology attorney at Dengler Legal LLC.

At Mobile Posse, he will serve as its chief legal officer and lead the company with regulatory compliance matters. Dengler has been named among the “Best Lawyers in America” since 2013 and won an EMMY as executive producer of a television news documentary in 1981.

As SVP of Sales and Distribution, Grant will be responsible for solidifying existing and new partnerships with mobile network operators and OEMs. He brings more than 20 years of management and leadership experience building sales organizations and generating demand for mobile-focused products. Previously, he was SVP Sales at talent acquisition and management start-up Ascendify. Grant also served in executive roles, including CRO, at mobile software company Helpshift. He is an active advisor for prominent venture capitalists like Visionnaire Ventures.

The news follows the opening of Mobile Posse’s larger Arlington headquarters and appointment of Steve Drill as Chief Technology Officer.
