Luxury global strategy and marketing agency, Issa PR, has been appointed to launch new cocktail bar and eatery, The Long Lane in Smithfield, London. From the team behind stylish cocktail bar, The Racketeer in King’s Cross, The Long Lane is the latest opening by three veterans of the London hospitality scene, Jack Foxcroft, Tyvian Vigrass and Marco Torre. With over 60 years’ experience between the trio running some of London’s most iconic music venues such as AKA / The End and Village Underground, as well as some of the capital’s finest restaurant and bars, including Hawksmoor Spitalfields and Palomar in Soho, the new venue will be a bar and eatery with food exclusively provided by Babel. Issa PR will handle overall communications strategy, extensive media relations and the official launch this summer.
The new venue is located in a unique building, taking aesthetic cues from Art Deco style of the 1950’s. Not only is the bar set within an area steeped in history, but is simultaneously at the forefront of innovation. Today, the area is a hotbed of design talent with Smithfield market and The Barbican attracting discerning globetrotters and locals alike, in addition to the new Elizabeth line stop. The design of the bar is both industrial and contemporary with exposed brickwork keeping in line with The Racketeer’s signature dark blue motif.
An innovative range of new cocktails will be provided at The Long Lane, including Unfinished Fizzness made from Vodka, Apricot, Cynar and Citrus, as well as Black Spice made of 100 proof Rye Whiskey, PX Sherry, Fernet Branca and Dry Orange Curacao. Babel, founded by the team behind Yeah! Burger, have created a menu both comforting and worldly, a collection of small plates made with recipes discovered on their travels and refined for London’s modern palette. Some dishes are punchy and exotic, others are nostalgic, all are designed for sharing and at the heart of them is top quality locally sourced British produce; after all, there is no place like home. New delectable dishes include Smoked Beef Short Rib; Crispy Cauliflower, Confit Cherry Tomato, Cashew Cheese, Roasted Chickpeas, Salsa Verde; and Kerala Spiced Crab.
“Issa PR is not only a leader in the luxury and lifestyle space, they deliver unparalleled creativity across their portfolio of global clients, creating captivating campaigns and orchestrating key launches and events in the industry. We wanted to choose an agency that could underscore The Long Lane’s new menu of avant-garde cocktails, art deco meets contemporary design and our attentive and personable service”, said Jack Foxcroft, Tyvian Vigrass, and Marco Torre. “A warm spot in the neighborhood where conversations will oscillate, we are excited to build a bar and eatery around classic cocktails with an unconventional twist, a stylish soundtrack and a zeal for conversation. We look forward to bringing our latest offering to the capital, as travel returns and locals are out again in the city”.
“We are thrilled to represent The Long Lane and lead their marketing and media relations strategy for their launch. Storytelling is our forte, and to launch one of the capital’s latest venues, particularly post-pandemic is an honour. We look forward to bringing this narrative and new offering to London and a global stage,” said Viet N’Guyen, CEO and Founder of Issa PR.
