Nickerson Named Agency of Record for Quaker Lane Capital

Nickerson, a full-service branding, marketing, and communications agency with team members in Boston, LA, Miami, and NYC, announced today that is has been selected as the agency of record for Quaker Lane Capital, a real estate development, investment, and advisory services company and certified minority business enterprise (MBE) and women-owned business enterprise (WBE) with offices in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.

Founded in 2018 by Carlos Febres-Mazzei as a true MBE and WBE, Quaker Lane Capital proudly boasts diversity and female leadership across its organization. With combined decades of institutional experience in commercial real estate on some of the most complex deals in the United States, including large scale mixed-use, life science, office, and multifamily, Quaker Lane Capital brings a high degree of sophistication and professionalism to real estate development and investment.

  • Carlos Febres-Mazzei, Founder and Managing Principal – a lifelong real estate professional and founder of Quaker Lane Capital with more than $19 billion in total transaction experience in knowledge markets across the U.S. including Boston, Cambridge, San Francisco, and Seattle. Active on various non-profit boards and committees, Carlos is the current District Council Chair for ULI Boston/New England, Product Council Vice Chair for ULI UDMUC-RED, and was recently elected to the Urban Land Institute’s Global Governing Board of Trustees.
  • Puja Suneja Peruto, Principal – as the lead for the Philadelphia office for Quaker Lane Capital, Puja brings more than 20 years in real estate advisory, providing institutional clients with strategic guidance, execution for operations, and asset management. Puja co-chairs ULI’s Philadelphia Health and Life Sciences Council, sits on ULI’s University Development and Innovation Council and serves the community through a board position with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Nickerson, who earned the Quaker Lane Capital business in June 2021, will lead communications strategy and manage all PR on behalf of the real estate development, investment, and advisory firm with a particular focus on the Boston and Philadelphia markets. Nickerson and Quaker Lane Capital kicked off its partnership with the successful launch of Quaker Lane’s 11 Dartmouth Street special permitting news.

11 Dartmouth Street is a mixed-use development with potential for life sciences in Malden, Massachusetts. Located in an Opportunity Zone in Malden Center, 11 Dartmouth Street is envisioned as an ideal location for a Class A, mixed-use property in the core of the city’s central business district, and is just steps to a multi-modal subway, commuter rail, and bus hub within minutes to downtown Boston and Cambridge.
