Osborn Barr Paramore (OBP)––a full-service agency serving the agriculture and rural industry for more than three decades––is now accepting nominations for its second annual Rural Spirit Awards. The awards will honor three individuals who are cultivating economic development, innovation and volunteerism in rural communities across the U.S.
Three total award winners will be chosen across three categories: Rural Advocacy; Community Service; and Next Gen.
The Rural Advocacy Award category will celebrate an individual who proudly embodies the heart of rural America. Any potential Rural Advocacy Award recipient should be an integral part of their community—working hard to spur economic development, create jobs and advocate for growth.
The Community Service Award category will honor an individual who exhibits the rural spirit through exceptional service in the name of community growth. Any potential Community Service Award recipient should demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond—selflessly donating their time and support in an effort to positively influence their local community.
The Next Gen Award category will recognize an individual from an up-and-coming generation (21 years of age or under). Any potential Next Gen Award recipient should demonstrate uncommon leadership through community service efforts or innovative thinking throughout their rural community.
Rural Spirit Award winners will receive $2,000 each to donate to a non-profit organization of their choice––with donations made in the winners’ names. Additionally, winners will have the opportunity for OBP to distribute their story across various digital and traditional media platforms. All winners will be announced and recognized during an awards celebration at OBP’s St. Louis headquarters in November.
Nominations for winners are accepted now through Oct. 2 and can be made by the public at ruralspiritawards.com.
