Prosek Partners announced that Matthew Beck has joined the firm as Senior Vice President in its new Washington, D.C. office. Beck brings two decades of policy, financial services, and capital markets communications experience to the firm. Most recently, he was Senior Director of Media Relations at the Investment Company Institute (ICI). Prior to that, he was Vice President, Strategic Communications at the Glover Park Group and, earlier in his career, Communications Director and Policy Advisor for the U.S. House Committee on Ways and Means.

“Building a world-class public affairs team in Washington is a strategic priority for our firm,” said Andy Merrill, Partner at Prosek responsible for Special Situations. “Matthew has advised many of our clients in the financial services space over the years, and he is universally respected. He brings a rare combination of capital markets, government and strategic communications experience that makes him a perfect fit for our client base and culture.”

Jim David, Head of Prosek’s Washington Office, said, “Matthew will be an invaluable partner in the growth of our public affairs practice. With his command of financial services policy and his understanding of the media and advocacy landscape in Washington, he will be a superb resource for Prosek clients seeking strategic support here. I could not imagine a stronger addition to the team and look forward to working closely with him.”

“I am excited and honored to join the Prosek team,” said Matthew Beck. “Global markets and policy are increasingly intertwined and I’m eager to work with Jim and our colleagues to help clients navigate these complex, challenging times.”
