PRSA Orange County Announces 2018 Board of Directors

The Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (OCPRSA) announced the 2018 Board of Directors. PRSA is the nation’s largest national association of public relations professionals and the Orange County chapter hosts a diverse and engaged membership.  The Board of Directors works to ensure the organization is developing engaging events, creating a space for networking and enabling professional development for members and the public relations field in Orange County.

Dan Nasitka of Rocket Science Media Group is serving as president and Ted Nguyen of Orange County Transportation Authority is president-elect. Charla Batey, MBA of UCI Libraries is treasurer, Justine Houston-Brown of Lages & Associates is secretary and Brenda Springer of Reville, Inc. is immediate past president.

Continuing board members include, Sara Fahy, Resonance Consultancy & SocialChangeCo.; Patty Conover, Orange County Business Council, David Cordero, Communications Lab; Brenda Velasco, Biola University; Brittney Holbrook; Stephanie Thara Metzinger, Western Growers; Delaine Moore, HKA, Inc.; Angelique Navarro, Johnson & Johnson.

New board members include Emily Mason, Orange County Transportation Authority; Robin Rockey, South Coast Water District; Liz Wilkins, IMW Agency; James Alley, Orange County Business Council; Stephanie Cardenas, The Brand Amp; Kristin Daher, Powerhouse Communications; Les Goldberg, Les Goldberg Public Relations.

“I am honored to serve and represent such a vibrant and valuable chapter of the Public Relations Society of America,” said Dan Nasitka, OCPRSA’s 2018 president. “We have strategic goals for providing our members with high quality events and space where they can grow professionally. This board of directors reflects the diverse and strong community of great public relations professionals we have in Orange County.”

Throughout the year OCPRSA will put on a variety of professional events ranging from public affairs, placing and pitching media, an industry senior round table, the summer media mixer, and the annual PROTOS awards that highlight outstanding public relations campaigns. With a focus on connecting working professionals, expanding networks and fostering a strong public relations community the 2018 Board of Directors is well positioned to lead OC PRSA in the coming year.
