HACKENSACK, N.J. – Steinreich Communications Group, Inc., an international public relations firm based here, has appointed Jane Chero, who headed the day-to-day operations of Home Furnishings Business Magazine, as its senior vice president and leader of its Home Furnishings Practice.

In her new role, Chero will oversee the operations of the industry-leading public relations firm’s Home Furnishings team and work for its clients in all aspects of the industry, fully tapping into her decades of experience in developing effective programs in communications, marketing, advertising, media relations, brand development, community outreach and public relations.
While with Home Furnishings Business, she oversaw the day-to-day operations of the magazine, its custom publishing division and its digital media properties, including marketing and communications initiatives, digital and print production, and audience development efforts. She planned communication strategies that promoted the magazine’s products and services, and was responsible for the vision, strategy and implementation of digital marketing campaigns, and for collateral materials that promoted Home Furnishings Business’ overall business objectives.
She also served as content editor of Home Furnishings Business’ Designer Weekly e-newsletter, evaluated analytics, managed and tracked budgets, developed and executed the magazine’s marketing calendar, prepared proposals and served as the lead for client relations and business development. Prior to her work at Home Furnishings Business, Chero was vice president of production at NAPCO Media in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Chero received her bachelor’s degree from Iona College, where she majored in communication arts with a concentration in journalism, advertising and marketing. She is an active member of WithIt, a women’s leadership development network in the home and furnishings industries. She serves as a trustee of the Evesham Celebrations Foundation and was previously a judge of the Gold Ink Awards from Printing Impressions Magazine.
She resides with her family in Marlton, New Jersey.
