Rachel Harrison Communications saw an impressively strong and successful first quarter with several key new business wins, thanks largely in part to the senior leadership of key new hires. As the agency grows, Harrison continues to bring in new talent, most recently with the appointment of Managing Directors Lauren Ryback Hurth and Amber Appelbaum, in the NYC headquarters. Rounding out the senior team is Senior Director Kaitlin Egan, helping develop the LA office.
Lauren Ryback Hurth was recently hired as the Managing Director of Travel and Hospitality, overseeing the fast-growing portfolio at RHC. With over twenty five clients in the agency’s hospitality portfolio, Hurth brings a keen understanding of the travel space, with experience working with brands like Ritz-Carlton, Viceroy, and Park Hyatt as well as renowned travel companies like Audley Travel and Air Charter Services, and a vast tourism expertise for everything from Bermuda Tourism Authority and Cayman Islands Dept. of Tourism to Visit South Walton and Travel Wisconsin. After more than fifteen years in the business, Ryback Hurth has a creative eye acutely aware of what moves the needle for travel brands. At RHC, Hurth manages division growth, team mentorship, and high-level client strategy.
Following Hurth, Amber Appelbaum joins RHC as the Managing Director of Operations and Business Development, overseeing agency strategy, profitability, business development and recruitment. She brings over twelve years of agency experience running lifestyle divisions and overseeing large-scale portfolios including brands within Bacardi, Richemont, LVMH, and working on full-scale events including the Golden Globes, TIFF, Sundance and the US Open. Appelbaum will work closely with Harrison in continuing to grow the agency and develop the company strategy as the company continues to increase revenue and team size.
Kaitlin Egan joins RHC as a Senior Director, leading travel and hospitality business out of the growing LA office. Egan has been in the industry for over a decade working on brands including a variety of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Valor Hospitality Group, SBE concepts such as Katsuya, Umami Burger and Doheny Room and a wide range of hotels, restaurants, bars and notable chefs. She will join forces with Managing Director of Lifestyle, Lucy Ballantyne, to develop the LA business roster and provide strategic counsel for west coast and global clients.
