rbb Communications Strengthens Its Palm Beach County Footprint as O’Donnell Agency Merges In Its Operations

by | Jun 2, 2021

rbb Communications today announced an agreement with West Palm Beach-based O’Donnell Agency to merge its operations with rbb effective June 1.  Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. O’Donnell Agency has been a major force on South Florida’s public relations landscape since its formation in 1995.

The agreement strengthens rbb’s presence in the Palm Beach County market where it already represents many of the top businesses in the energy, banking and professional service sectors. Like much of South Florida, Palm Beach County continues to see robust growth and rbb is actively looking to increase its engagement and footing in the area to better serve its existing and prospective clients.

“Owner Carey O’Donnell dominates the Palm Beach County market,” said Christine Barney, CEO of rbb communications. “Marry that with her impeccable reputation, energy, and her focused commitment to generating real results for clients and that makes her firm a great addition to rbb’s team. This will enhance our integrated communication services both in Florida and nationally.”

“From my perspective, this move benefits everybody, with the priority being my clients,” O’Donnell added. “Both firms are closely aligned in our missions and mandates to provide smart strategy and the very best marketing expertise, so it already feels like we’ve been partners for years. rbb has a powerful, Florida-wide footprint and a depth of talent in digital, creative and PR services that our clients will value immediately.”

O’Donnell has been recognized as one of the top public relations professionals in Florida for decades and named as one the state’s 500 Most Influential Business Leaders by Florida Trend since they introduced the list four years ago. She is in her second year as chair of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, and is a past-chair of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. She will serve as lead counsel with rbb in the Palm Beach market.

rbb is widely known as a triple threat, recognized as champions in the field of PR, digital/marketing and creative services.  In 2020 alone, rbb was among Top Five Global Creative Agencies of the Year, the PRovoke US Small Agency of the Year, named to the Forbes Top PR Firms and was ranked first in the 2020 South Florida Business Journal’s list of largest PR agencies.
