Rebecca is bringing deep experience in the media industry to RF|Binder. As a leading producer for the high-profile NBC San Francisco-Bay Area bureau, Rebecca oversaw the most impactful stories to permeate our nation and managed news advancing around the most disruptive and powerful figures arising from Silicon Valley and beyond. Prior to NBC, Rebecca started her career working at CBS News, ABC News and NBC News affiliated networks holding various key roles as a producer, writer and reporter. Rebecca is joining RF|Binder from LEWIS Global Communications where she was their Broadcast Media Lead having built the first-ever Broadcast Practice in the company’s nearly 30-year history.

“Leveraging an integrated approach and strategy based on trends and insights is critical in driving value for our clients at RF|Binder. As channels for communications continue to expand, earned media continues to play an important role in creating credibility for corporations, institutions and issues. Rebecca’s strategic mindset and proven experience developing highly successful media campaigns will support RF|Binder as we grow and expand our capabilities in 2022 and beyond,” said CEO Amy Binder. “Rebecca’s combined experience working at both communications agencies and in the media brings a valuable perspective that will help ensure our firm has the capabilities and skills needed to tackle today’s evolving media landscape.”

Rebecca’s responsibilities as Head of Corporate Media include providing critical communications and media relations support across the firm’s client practice groups, developing media strategies and identifying media opportunities for C-Suite executives and corporate feature stories, as well as expanding the media skills across the firm. She joins RF|Binder at a time when the firm has significantly strengthened its capabilities in strategy, analytics, and insights, creative services, social impact advisory services and other areas.

Rebecca will be working closely with the Head of Consumer Media, Jim Furrer, to develop strategic communications campaigns and executive thought leadership platforms. Over the past 20 years, Jim has forged a diverse career in consumer and corporate communications leveraging his experience from both the agency and newsroom sides of the business. Jim has deep experience supporting clients across key initiatives that impact their business, including strategic program development, CEO positioning, crisis communications and issues management. Prior to RF|Binder, Jim spent 10 years at ABC News. Together, Rebecca and Jim’s expertise offers clients a strong perspective of how to drive and tell impactful stories.

“The exceptional talent and adeptly evolving expertise of the team are one of the many reasons RF|Binder stands above and beyond other firms. Today’s media landscape is more dynamic than ever, and aligning with a communications firm who truly understands and embodies passionate, creative, and trusted support is one of the most impactful things an organization can do. RF|Binder exemplifies this and more.” said Rebecca Epps. “I could not be more delighted and proud to be joining this team on its continued path to success.”

“I am thrilled to have Rebecca join as a leader at the firm during this exciting phase of growth” added CEO Amy Binder. “We are at a critical point in our industry. As the media landscape evolves and the newsrooms continue to shrink, we need to evolve with it and tell powerful stories that make an impact and bring value.
