R&J Strategic Communications Receives Silver Davey Award for Wyndham Worldwide Global Town Hall Branding Project

R&J Strategic Communications, a full service integrated marketing and public relations agency, announces it has received a Davey Award for its branding of Wyndham Worldwide’s Global Town Hall event. Working alongside Wyndham’s marketing team, R&J’s creative team earned a Silver Davey Award in the “Individual Achievement–Art Direction/Graphic Design” category for custom-fabricating a multi-media campaign that established a strong sense of brand unity for Wyndham’s first ever annual town hall event.

This award marks R&J’s first entry as well as its first win at the Davey Awards. In its thirteenth year, the Davey Awards is the first major awards competition that showcases the best in design, web, advertising, social and video exclusively from small agencies worldwide.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized amongst other small agencies in this prestigious, international competition for the outstanding work we delivered for Wyndham Worldwide’s Global Town Hall event,” said Steve Guberman, VP of Creative and Digital Services at R&J. “Our main goal is always to exceed the needs and expectations of our clients and we were happy to help make this event a success for Wyndham. It’s just a wonderful bonus to earn this recognition and be able to produce award-winning work that advances our client’s goals.”

Tasked with echoing the Wyndham Worldwide brand while also signifying the event’s overarching theme of “Forward,” R&J’s creative team conceived clean and simple designs featuring subtle arrow indicators throughout. The customized designs spanned a wide range of materials that transformed the event space, immersing attendees in the theme. These included an outdoor flag, door clings and banners, gobo and color-themed lighting throughout, lobby mural and lighting, breakfast signage, cups and napkins. R&J also produced a video that highlighted the event’s theme. Together, these elements created a cohesive brand environment, effectively providing attendees with a strong sense of Wyndham’s event objectives and overall vision for the company.
