Sachs Media Group announced it has hired former Golin Executive Director Katherine Maiorana as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. In this new role, Maiorana will lead RFP and pitch management, development of strategic new business plans, client prospecting, and creating and implementing new business processes. In addition to her business development responsibilities, Maiorana will manage several key client accounts and work with founder and CEO Ron Sachs on select strategic initiatives for the firm.
Maiorana brings over 20 years of experience in B2B and B2C marketing communications, business development, public relations, employee communications, thought leadership, reputation management, and production. Her former firm, Golin, is a respected global leader in public relations and communications.
“Kathy’s leadership and experience are a perfect fit for us because of her impressive track record of business knowledge, client experience, creativity and consistent success,” said founder and CEO Ron Sachs. “She already is proving to be a dynamic asset in growing our business, helping clients meet ambitious goals and encouraging our staff’s continued development.”
Maiorana will report to Michelle Ubben, Partner and President of Sachs Media Group.
“We’re so proud to have a new executive teammate of Kathy’s caliber whose major role will be dedicated to new business development,” said Ubben. “She has demonstrated great leadership throughout her accomplished career and we are excited that her roots as an FSU alum have brought her back to Tallahassee.”
Maiorana added that coming home to Florida to work at Sachs Media Group is the right next step in her career life.
“I was drawn to Sachs Media because of the passion the team has for their clients and their work, as well as an incredible culture that emphasizes collaboration and creativity. I am delighted to return to agency life in my home state of Florida and look forward to a long tenure with Sachs.”
