SAE International, the global association focused on connecting and educating mobility professionals to enable safe, clean, and accessible mobility solutions, has selected Bianchi Public Relations to provide specialized PR and media relations support in Detroit and Silicon Valley in 2020.
Dave Colson, marketing communications director for SAE, and James A. Bianchi, APR, president of Bianchi PR, made the announcement. Terms for the engagement were not disclosed.
According to Colson, Bianchi PR will conduct targeted media relations programs to build awareness of SAE’s activities, membership benefits and value proposition in the crucial Detroit and Silicon Valley markets.
Bianchi PR’s affiliate in the San Francisco Bay area, Landis Communications, will provide on-the-ground support in this tech-focused region, as SAE increases its outreach to technology firms and start-ups serving the mobility space.
Bianchi PR will also provide media relations support for North America’s largest technical mobility event, the SAE World Congress Experience – SAE WCX 2020 – slated for April 21–23 at Detroit’s TCF Center (formerly Cobo Center). At this event, some 9,000 forward-thinking professionals – including mechanical, electrical and software engineers and R&D professionals from automakers, automotive suppliers, technology start-ups and academia – will convene to shape the future of mobility.
“We are excited to work with Bianchi PR and Landis Communications as SAE International continues to evolve our mission to advance mobility knowledge and solutions for the benefit of humanity,” said Colson. “We are confident that their expertise will allow us to further engage and reach partners in Detroit and Silicon Valley.”
Headquartered in Warrendale, Pennsylvania and at the forefront of mobility since its founding in 1905, SAE International also operates regional offices in Troy, Michigan (near Detroit), Washington DC, London and Shanghai to serve its members.
